The Africa Village Project is a plan to partner with villages in Africa and help them attain self-sufficiency. Africa is in desperate need of help as it struggles to cope with the AIDS catastrophe, devastating poverty, insufficient foreign aid, and limited access to many of the basic necessities of life that we in the developed world take utterly for granted.

In July 2007, the Project formed its first partnership with Okaseni Village near Moshi in Tanzania. To read more about this village, click on "Okaseni Village" in the menu on the left of this screen.

The Project was founded by Sheena Ashdown, a Communication instructor at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
